Warp Out Effect

 Warp Speed!

A model of the Enterprise from the Google 3DWarehouse that is animated along a path with scaling to produce a warp out effect. This iProject achieves the warp out effect by using scaling along with lighting and glow channel effects. A glow effect is adding that builds up till the Enterprise is shot down the pathway.  The Enterprise is stretched in scale then reduced from 100 to 1 percent as it travels. Requires iClone Version 4.

Space Freighter and Planet Destructible Props Demo

Explosive Props

A look at the fruits of research and development of a line of Destructible Props for Reallusion's iClone 4. These explosions are triggered by a simple right click action.

The Machine Demo

The Machine

A whimsical look at a machine that is not quite what you think it is when the video starts. The prop comes from the Google 3D Warehouse and was animated in iClone. Also shows the new lighting of Version 4. To impart the rocking motion I used an idle motion on the main character then attached the "the Machine" to the character. The characters idle motion was then slowed down on the timeline and looped.

Campfire Demo

Campfire

Another look at using a 2D rendered image to add more vivid details to a static camera scene. Can you tell which are the objects and which is the 2D Background?

Using 2D Renders to Enchance a Scene and Provide Visual Impact

This filmmaker loves Vue and looks for ways to implement it every chance he gets as it makes for some really great scenes. In this case a futuristic city was laid out with greebles and a few models to mimic a large city along with a brownish, moderaterly heavy atmosphere. This was then rendered out of Vue in a high resolution image to be used as a 2D background.

After importing the background (set the render dimensions to match the background image) set several particle "smoke" effects in place over the tops of some of the smokestacks in the 2d image. Remember we can work from any camera angle to create the scene but we must film from the original angle in which you set up the scene as the 2D background will not move.

These types of shots are usually good for 10 to 20 seconds and when done properly can add a lot of visual impact to your animation.
